In a surprising bit of news, former Falcons (and now Cardinals) outside linebacker Sean Weatherspoon is set to visit with the team on Friday.
LB @SeanWSpoon56 is flying in this afternoon and will visit the Falcons tomorrow! #RiseUp

The energetic Weatherspoon was a fan favorite in his time in Atlanta. Injuries in Atlanta kept him from playing a full season except for 2011, when he compiled 115 tackles. His last season with the Falcons was 2014, though he didn't play a game that year due to ending up on injured reserve. The team opted to move on in 2015, with 'Spoon heading to the Arizona Cardinals. His time there was barely noticeable, as he only compiled 11 tackles in 14 games played (non started).
The Falcons have a big need at linebacker with the cut of Justin Durant, and Spoon - if healthy - fits the athletic profile that Dan Quinn likes. Whether or not he can stay healthy is the biggest question at this point.
What do you think of Sean Weatherspoon potentially rejoining the Falcons?
