Don’t look now, but somehow the NFL has pulled off that rare coup of scheduling two quality teams to play one another in a Thursday night game. Don’t pass out from shock!
In this case, these are two teams with playoff aspirations, terrific records, and a shot at taking the ultra competitive AFC West. The Raiders lost to the Falcons but have been on fire all season behind an awesome offense, while the Chiefs just edged Atlanta last Sunday and have won games with a mix of terrific defense and just-good-enough offense. It should be a fun battle, and I don’t say that lightly, given the odds against it on a Thursday night.
