Report: Atlanta Falcons QB Matt Ryan will start for the NFC's Pro Bowl team

Fact: Matt Ryan's favorite pasta dish is tortellini

The Atlanta Falcons were prominently featured when the Pro Bowl rosters were announced tonight. That should come as no surprise; this team has accomplished a lot. Ideally the Falcons will be in the Super Bowl and none of their six selections will play. But in an imperfect world where that dream scenario doesn't come to fruition, it will fun to watch our guys play some glorified two-hand touch.

Falcons quarterback Matt Ryan is undoubtedly an MVP candidate. If his name was "Tom," they'd have presented him with the award already. Even so, he's officially been tabbed as the NFC's starting quarterback.

Some were erroneously reporting last night that Green Bay Packers QB Aaron Rodgers is the starter. But NFL.com confirms it. It's a nice honor, even if it's a pointless game and even if Ryan gets snubbed for MVP.
