Falcons - Chiefs Week 13 game time, TV schedule, stream, odds, and announcers

If the 7-4 Falcons want to put themselves in the playoffs driver’s seat, they’ll want to beat the toughest teams left on their schedule.

It’s still hard to believe we’re here, but the Falcons are now 7-4, very much in the thick of the playoff race, and about to face the toughest opponent left on the schedule. Don’t pinch me, I have no interest in waking up from this one.

The importance of this game should be obvious. Even if you’re dour about the Falcons over the last four weeks with the Panthers and Saints still on the docket, it’s very reasonable to expect two wins in that group of four teams, and a 10-6 record would likely be enough to push Atlanta into the playoffs this year. A 9-7 record may not be, however, and so every win is going to matter the rest of the way. Playing at home against a team that can’t win a shootout (albeit a team with a great defense) means the Falcons should pull this one off, but Kansas City is a legitimately tough, physical team. There are no guarantees.

Despite that, I have no doubt this offense will put up numbers against Kansas City, given that they’ve done so against the likes of Seattle, Denver, and Arizona thus far in 2016. The question becomes whether the defense steps up like it did a week ago, and whether the Falcons can put up the 30+ necessary to put this one away. Let us have some faith and hope for the best.
