The fall of the Roman empire. The Hindenburg disaster. The Falcons cutting J.D. McKissic. All of these disasters have far-reaching consequences that will be felt for years, if not decades. You think the Atlanta Falcons finally know what they are doing... then they make the dumbest roster move in NFL history.
The #Falcons have signed WR B.J. Daniels to the practice squad, and waived WR J.D. McKissic.

Why? Why would they cut a superstar? Have they forgotten about everything he has done for this team?

McKissic was a monster in preseason. He turned 8 catches into 47 yards! You can’t expect to find that production in literally just about every wide receiver available. He will sadly be lumped with other preseason wide receiver beasts that went on to hall of fame careers elsewhere like Benjamin Reedy, Drew Davis, and basically countless other pass catchers nearly every year.
Based on twitter reactions, the Falcons just cut Julio Jones in his rookie season.
B.J. Daniels is/was a dual-threat quarterback that was hyped up a bit before the draft a few years ago, but he’s been mostly plugged in at wide receiver while bouncing around teams. He met some of our current coaching staff in Seattle back in 2013.
What does his signing mean? Falcons may not be holding onto McKissic on the practice squad, but I would consider Daniels’ hold on a practice squad spot as pretty tenuous. Most importantly, this hopefully means Julio Jones and/or Nick Williams are fully healthy.
