The second game of the day here on Thanksgiving involves two more NFC contenders duking it out. Unlike the Vikings-Lions game, though, the winner is not going to take over sole possession of the division.
That’s because the Cowboys are comfortably ahead in the NFC East, due to a top-to-bottom terrific team and an easy schedule. Washington, meanwhile, is one of three NFC East teams currently in the playoff picture, and they need to keep winning with the Vikings, Eagles, and even Buccaneers sniffing around the margins. Winning on a short week in Arlington is no easy task, to put it mildly.
