Replacing Atlanta Falcons kicker Matt Bosher is like trying to fry your own pickles. Frickles sound great, especially with a nice aioli, but risk of failure is substantial. And like it or not, the Falcons currently find themselves in that unenviable position, searching for a temporary solution while Bosher recovers from what ails him.
Falcons worked out P Kasey Redfern from Wofford today with Matt Bosher (hamstring) recovering. Also worked out kickers Ty Long, Matt Wile

It's going to be practically impossible to "replace" Bosher for a host of reasons. First and foremost, cyborg kickers are hard to come by. What's more, he's averaging an impressive 47 yards per punt and He's downed 14 of 20 punts inside the 20 yard line. That's damn good, if you're keeping track.
Redfern last played for the Cleveland Browns. (They cut him back in September.) Let's just hope they're doing their due diligence and they're not seriously looking to sign someone.
