Texans - Raiders Week 11: Monday Night Football in Mexico

It’s a Monday night matchup of extremes.

The Oakland Raiders are good this year. They’ve got one of the league’s better young quarterbacks in Derek Carr, a dynamic ground game, and just enough defense to make the whole thing work. At 7-2, they’re in the mix for the crown in a very competitive AFC West, and they’re an extremely tough out.

The Houston Texans are...well, are they good? Their record would indicate that they are, and a 6-3, they’re the only respectable-looking team in the AFC South. That record masks the fact that they have one of the worst quarterbacks in the NFL, and that they’ve largely been buoyed by their always competitive defense.

Nonetheless, this is a rare (for this year, at least) Monday Night Football matchup that promises to deliver a good game. Here’s what you need to know when these two teams kick off in Mexico tonight.

Monday Night Football Week 11

What: Houston Texans vs. Oakland Raiders

Where: Estadio Azteca, Mexico

When: Monday, November 21, 8:30 p.m. EST

Key Story Lines: Can Brock Osweiler stop being one of the worst quarterbacks in the NFL and give his team a chance to put up some points? Will the Raiders be able to shut down this (admittedly limited) Houston offense? What’s the weather like in Mexico? I bet it’s nice.
