We’re all wary of the quality of this football game, given that Thursday Night Football is nearly always awful, and given that the Falcons have played eight difficult weeks of football in a row, and the Buccaneers are coming off a rough overtime loss. There’s potential for things to get real ugly.
What matters for Atlanta, as always, is the win. They desperately need the bye week to get Tevin Coleman healthy and rest up before a game against the Arizona Cardinals, and heading into that bye with no further major injuries and a 6-3 record would be everything we could possibly hope for at this point of the season. To get there, they’ll have to triumph over a Bucs team that beat them at home in the first week of the season, and however mediocre they’ve been throughout much of the season, that alone is enough to consider them dangerous.
Here’s what you’ll need to know to watch the game tomorrow night.
