Julio Jones was arguably the best receiver in the NFL a year ago, and I think it’s pretty much inarguable in 2016. The incredible #11 passed 1,000 yards against the Eagles, putting him on pace to surpass last year’s 1,671 yards.
Jones passed the mark in the second quarter of this one on a 29 yard reception, and will likely continue to build on the total throughout the day against a depleted, weak Eagles secondary. That’s especially true because the Falcons fell behind early and the defense looks mighty shaky.
Julio, of course, is making his assault on the Falcons’ record books, and if he stays at his current pace, he’ll be making another attempt at the single season receiving yardage record, though it’s doubtful he gets there. Sit back and enjoy his greatness, friends.
