The Philadelphia Eagles official website covers their opposing teams with sweet GIF breakdowns every week. And since the Atlanta Falcons are awesome, we love this week’s writeup by Fran Duffy.
Nothing shocking here. The Falcons are 1st or 2nd in almost every offensive category. The Eagles have some defensive talent, but do they have enough to slow down Matt Ryan?
Probably not. Defenses have to take away Julio Jones then stop everyone else.
Shot 10 - #Falcons in a nutshell. Varied personnel groups. Run-game focus. Must defend Julio, but they have other weapons that beat you too. pic.twitter.com/MMWJOOvc9L

And again.
Shot 9 - Doubling Julio? Better tighten up everywhere else. Sanu leads ATL in targets on 3rd down & in red zone. TD screen to Freeman here pic.twitter.com/kPxqjKxKlK

Even the defense has some talent. Duffy is particularly impressed with a ton of young guys that have, shockingly, been drafted and well used by the new coaching staff. Dan Quinn and Bryan Cox are getting creative with Vic Beasley and he has absolutely exploded in the last month.
Shot 2 - Vic Beasley isn't a starter, but they're starting to move him around in their subs. Wins with speed off the edge #Falcons #Eagles pic.twitter.com/ty3jZyq4da

Thanks should be given to Grady Jarrett, Beasley’s Clemson alumni.
Shot 3 - Had a lot of fun studying #Falcons DT Grady Jackson, who has developed into a really nice player inside. Quick, tough, relentless. pic.twitter.com/SY5lvzhMow

Duffy is really impressed with Atlanta’s young defensive talent. Atlanta confusingly passed on multiple linebackers in free agency and in the first round of the draft. They ended up with the speedy Deion Jones who had questions about his size and tackling.
Emphasis on had. Falcons knew exactly what they were doing and may have two players in the race for defensive rookie of the year.
Shot 4 - Rookie 2nd Rd Pick Deion Jones is a starter, and his athleticism allows him to consistently play sideline to sideline for #Falcons pic.twitter.com/b8zKHKsOu2

Rookie De’Vondre Campbell has been injured, but when healthy has looked like a future star.

Last but not least is Keanu Neal, who went from giant reach to giant stud in record time. Weird. Turns out he is way more than a William Moore clone.
Shot 7 - #Falcons 1st Rder Keanu Neal is a stud. Instinctive, HUGE hitter, playmaker on the back end. Plays Kam Chancellor role. pic.twitter.com/1p3iqPcN7D

May be tough for the Eagles to overcome Atlanta. They are a spry team but still reeling from Chip Kelly’s roster mismanagement.
