Unpredictable NFL trade deadline: Falcons make no moves

New, comments

Another year and we are still just a little bit surprised the team passed.

Jason Getz-USA TODAY Sports

I know what you are thinking. Every year passes and the Atlanta Falcons don't make a move. It is so predictable we could probably write the same article and post it every trade deadline around 4:30. We would just have to cross out some old info and update a few names. Nonsense. The Falcons are big movers and shakers in the NFL.

Clearly, the team's current GM Ken Herock Dan Reeves Harold Richardson Rich McKay Thomas Dimitroff feels confident in the team's current roster. Obviously every year is different, and the football braintrust considers hundreds of options before the trade deadline. We all know owner Rankin Smith Taylor Smith Arthur Blank would support a big move if head coach Jerry Glanville June Jones Dan Reeves Jim Mora Jr. Bobby Petrino Mike Smith Dan Quinn thought it was in their best interest..

We love Atlanta's chances of hoisting the Lombardi trophy this year under quarterback David Archer Scott Campbell Chris Miller Bobby Herbert Chris Chandler Doug Johnson Michael Vick Joey Harrington Matt Ryan. While this year ended a little slow, we look forward to next year's trade deadline here at the SBN Atlanta Falcons Blog Falcons Roost Falcons Fanblog Dave Choate and Friends Write About Football The Choatester's Falcons Blog Falcons Landing the Falcoholic.
