It’s already Week 8 of the 2016 NFL season, and no, I don’t know how that happened so quickly. It seems like just yesterday we were lamenting a scarily bad Week 3 preseason performance against the Miami Dolphins and worrying about whether or not the Falcons could be good enough to get a wildcard bid with the Panthers in the division.
My, how things change.
The Falcons are sitting at 4-3 and are on top of a division that someone from this site described on our weekly podcast as “straight-up garbage.” All of our editors are expecting the Falcons to come out on top this week, and we’re also unanimous in our expectations that the rest of the division will lose. Actually, we’re all unanimous about everything this week. This is weird.
As you can see, my strategy of picking against the Falcons backfired in Weeks 6 and 7, so I’m abandoning it. We’ll see what happens. I think the Falcons win this game.
Elsewhere around the league, we have the Panthers probably getting beaten by the Cardinals, the Saints taking on the Seahawks and the Bucs facing off against the Raiders. We have a 9:30 a.m. Sunday London game between Washington and the Bengals, and Jay Cutler is back for the Bears just in time to face the top defense in the league, the Minnesota Vikings.
Here’s how our editors have fared so far this season with picks.
Go ahead and make your picks for this week, and check out where you stand so far this season.
