We’ve been expecting veteran safety Dashon Goldson to get cut basically every week since the Atlanta Falcons signed him, and it is finally that week. Goldson was signed at the end of August when Keanu Neal and Kemal Ishmael were hobbled. Why he was still on the roster in October is anyone’s guess.
Goldson was active for four games and according to his NFL player page, made a tackle against the Seattle Seahawks. We will always have that? Falcons, of course, promoted Sharrod Neasman to the active roster yesterday. He should provide a bit more upside than a 32 year old safety that can’t push for even a minimal role.
