The Dan Quinn version of the Falcons have made it clear that they will develop players and make whatever move necessary to improve the roster. They appear to like one of their young players enough to promote him mid-season, as it looks like they will be promoting safety Sharrod Neasman to the active roster soon.

It’s nice to see the team actively looking to improve the roster every single week, and Quinn has been active in these types of moves from day one.
Of course, the bigger question is who will Neasman replace on the roster?
The first thought is that Derrick Shelby’s injury may be serious enough to put him on IR. There’s no official word yet on the extent of his injury, so it’s all conjecture at this point.
The team could also be looking to move on from recently signed A.J. Hawk or replacing aging veteran Dashon Goldson. Any of these moves would make sense, so we’ll keep an eye on whether any news is made official by the team.
Your thoughts on promoting Neasman?
