The Atlanta Falcons are in full-blown off-season mode. As fans, with the draft still months away, this time of year is ... difficult. There are mock drafts on mock drafts on mock drafts. Rumors swirl and Dave drinks massive amounts of vodka. It is what it is.
As you know, the Falcons may be in the market for a talented wide receiver. Torgo3000 wrote a fantastic piece back in December about the decimation of the team's wide receiver depth. In short, the Falcons need someone to step in opposite Julio Jones. Immediately. One well-known prospect wants to be that guy.
ICYMI: Ohio State WR Braxton Miller would ``love to wear the red and black'' and help Julio Jones out in Atlanta. https://t.co/6K7Vhi4BZo
Miller is projected as a second or third rounder. Miller famously transitioned from quarterback to wide receiver this season. It was a nearly seamless transition given his athleticism and speed. There are two big red flags that will likely keep the Falcons from drafting Miller. First, he's got an iffy injury history. Second, he's still pretty raw as a receiver, and the Falcons are looking for someone who can step in immediately opposite Julio Jones.
