NFL Roster Cuts 2015: Falcons finalize cuts, roster stands at 52

Fan favorite Antone Smith, Rex Grossman, Kevin White headline the players who have been cut thus far.

Dale Zanine-USA TODAY Sports

The Falcons made several cuts Friday, and some were at least mildly surprising. Most were not. The team must, per NFL rules, whittle down to the roster to just 53 players by 4 p.m. today, so there are definitely 14 more cuts coming throught the day. We'll keep a running list in this post, so check back often for updates.

On Friday, the Falcons parted ways with both T.J. Yates and Rex Grossman. The latter was mildly surprising after the team signed Grossman barely one week ago. Tackle Jake Rodgers, a seventh-round draft pick in 2015, was cut, but I still expect the team to stash him on the practice squad. Cornerback Kevin White, an undrafted free agent out of TCU, was the other surprise, particularly after he got some first team reps this offseason.

A complete list of cuts to date is included below. More cuts are coming down today and we will update this list accordingly, so check back often for updates and share your thoughts in the comments.
