The Falcons have wrapped up their preseason games, they're looking ahead to the regular season, and the majority of the team's starters will hopefully be rested and healthy for Week 1.
Now it's time for the cutdown to the 53 man roster, and following that, the assembly of a 10 man practice squad. We'll then know and be able to discuss the roster in great detail before the first Monday night football game against the Eagles.
NFL Roster Cuts Schedule
Saturday, September 5: All NFL teams must cut rosters down to 53, by 4 p.m.; players can be placed on PUP
Sunday, September 6: Players waived during cutdowns can be claimed until 12 p.m.; practice squads can be assembled at 1 p.m.
As always, we provide you with a tracker of trusted Falcons sources in case the cuts trickle in. Once the Falcons have made their moves, stay tuned for a roundup of cuts, analysis, and a look at big names around the league Atlanta might be interested in. Sunday the team will assemble a practice squad, too, so you probably just shouldn't leave the house for any reason this weekend.
