Jake Matthews, Devonta Freeman probable for Monday Night Football

Devin Hester and Brooks Reed have both been ruled out for Monday's game.

Jon Gruden and the rest of ESPN's Monday Night Football crew were on hand to watch the Falcons practice this morning. The only player who appeared to be held out of practice was Devin Hester. Eric Weems took all of the return reps in special teams work, so it looks like he'll get the nod for those duties over Nick Williams. Weems' experience is surely a factor in this decision.

Dan Quinn spent some time after practice working one-on-one with Tyler Starr on technique. He did the same during practice with O'Brien Schofield yesterday, but it's even more uncommon for a NFL head coach to dedicate that kind of time to working with practice squad player to refine his game.

Quinn confirmed after practice that Brooks Reed (groin) and Devin Hester (toe) will be out for Monday's game.

Jake Matthews (back), Roddy White (elbow), Devonta Freeman (hamstring), Joplo Bartu (quad) and Robenson Therezie (quad) all practiced fully today and are probable for Monday night.
