As the Falcons prepare for their first game of the regular season, the injury report is thankfully whittling down. Going into a tough matchup with the Eagles, it's important for the team to be as healthy as possible.
Receiver and return specialist Devin Hester did not participate in practice today. Per our own Jeanna Thomas, Coach Quinn said prior to practice that Devin would be limited today. While Hester wasn't able to participate in practice, he was off to the side with the trainers. His status for Monday's game is something to monitor.
The following players were all full participants in practice today: LB Joplo Bartu (quadricep), RB Devonta Freeman (hamstring), OT Jake Matthews (back) and S Robenson Therezie (groin). Barring set backs, all of these guys should be ready for the game on Monday.
If Hester is unable to practice over the next couple of days, the team will likely look at using Eric Weems and Justin Hardy for punt and kickoff return duties. Both men would also likely step into the limited receiving duties that Hester would have had.
