Tevin Coleman and Devonta Freeman are in such a heated battle for the starting running back position, that when one suffered a grade one hamstring, the other one suffered a grade one hamstring. It is a tight race.
ESPN's Vaughn McClure has more on the injuries.
Looking like a minimum of 2 weeks for Devonta Freeman and Tevin Coleman from what I'm hearing. Consistent with Grade 1 hamstring strain.

This makes it unlikely that either play during Atlanta's first two preseason games, missing out on a chance to earn the starting spot against the Tennessee Titans and the New York Jets.
While this is disappointing news, it gives Terron Ward a shot to continue his impressive preseason and lock up a roster spot.
Best case scenario for both of the players, assuming no setbacks, would be the third (and most important) preseason game on August 29th.
