The third preseason game gives us our best chance to see the Falcons' starters work before the regular season opener against the Eagles, and with the long-awaited return of Tevin Coleman, we might even see the ground game get going. A lot to celebrate, potentially.
Look for Coleman's performance, a hopefully set-in-stone Falcons starting offensive line, key defensive rotations, and a second half that should feature players like Stansly Maponga, Tyler Starr, and Terron Ward making their cases for roster spots. The Falcons' offense will be challenged by a tough, aggressive Miami defense, and the defense will have their hands full with the mobile Ryan Tannehill and the speedy Lamar Miller. It's a nice test, and the last legitimate one the starters are going to get before Week 1 against the Eagles.
As always, we'll hope for a quality performance and no further major injuries. Let it be so.
