Falcons Injury Report: Antone Smith, William Moore did not practice

Although William Moore and Antone Smith did not practice, it does appear that both are making progress toward getting back on the field.

The Falcons have, since training camp is finished, opted to close practice to the media after the first 30 minutes. That means we get to see the team stretch and warm up and go through special teams drills and some position drills. There's not a ton we can glean from that. We can, however, get a sense of where injured Falcons players currently stand in their rehab process and when we can expect them to return to the field.

Devonta Freeman and Tevin Coleman both seemed to be practicing fully today, as did Desmond Trufant and RaShede Hageman. If this trend continues throughout the week, it seems reasonable to expect that we could see all four of these players in Saturday's preseason matchup with the Dolphins.

William Moore (calf), Antone Smith (hamstring) and linebacker Derek Akunne (foot) did not practice and instead worked with the athletic performance staff. Smith did go through warmups with his position group, which certainly indicates progress.
