The Atlanta Falcons aren't being gnawed by the injury bug, but it's nibbling at the fringes of the roster.
The Falcons have waived rookie safety Terell Floyd: http://t.co/cIemvRMpU2

I probably don't need to tell you that Floyd was a roster longshot, especially with Ricardo Allen converting to safety and rookie Akeem King potentially getting a look at the position. It's not clear what Floyd's injury was, but he'll hopefully land elsewhere and succeed once he heals up. We wish him well.
The Falcons now have seven players in the mix for four or five safety spots, with Ricardo Allen, William Moore, Charles Godfrey, and Kemal Ishmael ranking as the favorites for roster spots at the moment. King, special teamer Sean Baker, and rookies Damian Parms and Therezie Robinson are also competing.
There's no word about a potential signing to fill this roster spot, but you should expect one in the next day or so.
