Happy 4th of July, Falcons fans

Holiday greetings and a question about the Falcons.

Matthew O'Haren-USA TODAY Sports

It's the Fourth of July today, and while we celebrate our independence from the British via fireworks, beer and grilling, let us spare a thought for the Falcons. Why? Because we're The Falcoholic, and this is what we do.

As you enjoy the day, mull this ridiculously cheesy question: How can the Falcons best free their offense and defense to be more aggressive and effective in 2015? If you'd like to put together a tortured metaphor about a good field general, wooden teeth, a declaration of independence from useless screen plays and the ultimate triumph of guerilla tactics over an established but unprepared enemy unfamiliar with the friendly confines of the Georgia Dome, I'm certainly not going to be the one to stop you. I do love a tortured metaphor, after all.

Anyways, may your holiday be as warm and relaxing as you'd like it to be. Happy 4th, everyone!
