If you coach youth football, you have the unique opportunity to attend a youth coaching clinic hosted by the Atlanta Falcons and Under Armour at Westlake High School (Atlanta, GA) on Saturday, July 18th from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. This is the first time the Falcons have hosted a clinic specifically designed for football coaches at the youth level.
The free clinic will provide coaches with the knowledge and skills to improve the youth football experience for their programs. Registration begins at 8 a.m. and breakfast and lunch are provided. The topics covered in this clinic will be teaching proper fundamentals, executing drills, responsible coaching, tackling technique, health and safety and program management.
Speakers leading these sessions include former Atlanta Falcons players, Master Trainers from USA Football and members of the Positive Coaching Alliance.
With such an emphasis being placed on player safety and the need for that focus to be applied to youth football programs as well, this is a valuable opportunity for youth coaches to learn skills and techniques that will benefit their players in every aspect of the game.
There is no charge to attend the clinic, and it is open to all youth football coaches. Space is limited, so if you'd like to attend, you should register now. To register, visit the Youth Football Coaching Clinic page on AtlantaFalcons.com.
