Falcons waive TE Kyle Miller

Kyle Miller, a tight end who spent last season on Atlanta's practice squad, has been released.

Kirby Lee-USA TODAY Sports

The Falcons announced today that they have waived tight end Kyle Miller. Miller, who is 6'5" and 262 pounds, spent last season on Atlanta's practice squad. He was signed as an undrafted free agent out of Ohio football powerhouse Mount Union by the Jacksonville Jaguars and spent time with the Colts and the Dolphins prior to landing with the Falcons.

It's not a surprise move by any stretch. Miller's the low man on the depth chart behind Levine Toilolo, a fourth-round draft choice in 2013, free agent veteran additions Tony Moeaki and Jacob Tamme, and Mickey Shuler. The team has also reportedly signed Beau Gardner, an undrafted free agent out of Northern Arizona. Gardner, who had a really impressive pro day, is 6'4", 240 pounds, and last season he had 417 receiving yards and five touchdowns over 12 games.

We wish Kyle Miller all the best. Weigh in with your thoughts about the tight end position in the comments.
