The original piece is here.
Prince Shembo was charged with aggravated cruelty to animals after allegedly killing his girlfriend's dog and was subsequently released by the Falcons.
Here's the team's statement:
We are aware of the charges that have been filed against Prince Shembo. We are extremely disappointed that one of our players is involved in something like this. Accordingly, we have decided to waive Prince Shembo.
Shembo, who was moved inside last season and moved back outside this season, would've been in a reserve role.
In short: Expect the play of the Falcons' outside linebackers to improve drastically over the previous couple of seasons. Vic Beasley should get plenty of snaps at the LEO, and quality starters Justin Durant and Brooks Reed will take over the weak and strong side positions, respectively.
O'Brien Schofield, who was a part of the Seattle Seahawks the past two seasons, will get pass rushing snaps and Kroy Biermann, a lightning rod for Falcons fans, should get some snaps as well.
