Dan Quinn is still trying to put his mark on the Atlanta Falcons. In a perfect world, Quinn leads the Falcons to the promised land, and in doing so, he cements his legacy. But there's a long, very involved road ahead. Right now he just needs to get through the off-season.
Quinn has been very productive so far. The team added some good role players in free agency. They followed up with a fantastic draft. Rookie mini-camp and voluntary workouts have come and gone, and now come OTAs. It's Quinn's first meaningful opportunity to mold and shape this team. It won't make him a Hall of Fame head coach. It also won't land him in the unemployment queue. Even so, it's an important next step.
What am I looking for from Quinn? Simply stated, I want more of the same. I want Quinn to be the guy he's said he is all off-season. We've endured the coachspeak. We've endured the wildly speculative commentary. While there is sure to be a healthy dose of both going forward, I'm looking for Quinn to really embody his reputation.
So what do you think? What are you looking for from Quinn as OTAs kick off and the season draws closer? Discuss!
