Falcons kick off OTAs tomorrow

It's nearly time for Falcons news that doesn't involve random arrests and minor signings.

Dale Zanine-USA TODAY Sports

Believe it or not, we've weathered one of the slowest parts of the NFL offseason, that quiet month or so after the NFL Draft has concluded. With camp gearing up soon and training camp around the corner, it's time to start thinking about the season ahead in earnest.

Organized team activities begin tomorrow, and we should have news and notes from those thanks to Jeanna Thomas. The key, as always, is to get everyone on the field practicing, getting ready for the season ahead and pulling through each day without any major injuries. I'll be particularly interested to see how the rookie class fares, and to find out just how close players like Antone Smith and Sam Baker are to returning.

Here's the full offseason schedule, or at least what we know of it thus far:

OTAS: May 26-29, June 2-3, June 5, June 9-12

Mandatory Minicamp: June 16-18

Please note, again, that the June 16-18 minicamp is open to the public, so you'll be able to watch that one. The next big milestone is the start of training camp, which should be announced sometime next month.

Besides the start of the season, what are you most looking forward to?
