The Atlanta Falcons began their offseason program this week. It's an important time for the team and Dan Quinn's first opportunity to execute his master plan. For what it's worth, Quinn has been thoroughly impressed with the strength and conditioning of his players. Credit to the ever-talented Reid Ferrin for the quote.
"I think there were a number of guys that completely came back in ridiculously good shape," Dan Quinn said. "I think that mindset of the guys who started their individual work way earlier than this offseason program showed they're ready to take this offseason on, really having that 'best-offseason-they've-ever-had' mindset coming in; being in that good of shape told me a lot."
While this is just another opportunity for Quinn to say all the right things before anything meaningful happens, it's nice to know he was impressed. It shows how seriously the team is taking this transition. To make the most of this off-season, the players need to put in their own work, and by all accounts, that's exactly what they're doing.
