If you were one of the various fans hoping the Falcons would be in on Shane Ray, you're likely going to be disappointed by the news that he was cited for marijuana possession on Monday - just four days before the draft. Per Brandon Kiley, who broke the story:
SCOOP: Shane Ray cited for possession of marijuana this morning in Cooper County, MO. http://t.co/iUOtxrxY8X pic.twitter.com/hpEIBYWoql

There's really no way to present this other than to say that Ray has made an awful decision, in what is arguably the most important week of his life. There were already questions about whether he was truly a top pass-rushing talent, and this arrest certainly does him no favors.
Where the Falcons are concerned, if Gregory testing positive was seen as a negative, I can't imagine that Ray is going to be seen any more favorably. I won't go so far as to say that the Falcons won't draft Ray, but this is clearly going to hurt his stock - not only with our team, but league wide. A slip outside of the top 10 - and maybe even the first round - are very possible at this point.
What say you of the latest draft week development?
