The Atlanta Falcons' new, $1.5 billion stadium is environmentally friendly

Fact: the Dome is not ecofriendly

Dale Zanine-USA TODAY Sports

The Atlanta Falcons' new stadium is expensive ... very expensive. No expense will be spared as Arthur Blank tries to one up Willy Wonka's chocolate factory. You can quibble about personal seat licenses and question the economic merits of a new stadium, but let's be honest, it's going to bankrupt us all be pretty freaking cool. But now there's an added feature every fan can love: environmentally-friendly design!

"We will be extremely water efficient -- we'll have renewable energy on site. Our sports lighting will be LED lighting, so most of the LED will last way longer than traditional lighting and will use a fraction of the energy."

The stadium will be treated as an outdoor stadium thus ventilating it naturally, Rain water will be stored -- 680,000 gallons to run the cooling towers -- no domestic water from Atlanta.

Priorities, folks. Priorities. By proxy, this makes us all better human beings - citizens of the world, if you will.
