Report: Corey Peters will become a Cardinal

It seems like free agent defensive tackle Corey Peters will become a Cardinal, per Vaughn McClure of

Bob Donnan-USA TODAY Sports

In unfortunate, but not unexpected, news, defensive tackle Corey Peters appears to be set to sign with the Arizona Cardinals once free agency officially begins tomorrow at 4:00 p.m., per's Vaughn McClure.

Peters was drafted by the Falcons in the third round of the 2010 NFL Draft out of the University of Kentucky. He has 11 career sacks, seven pass deflections, one interception and one forced fumble over the course of his career. Peters has been a solid player, and Arizona is a good place for him to land. He'll likely have a friendly face on the roster with him, as teammate Sean Weatherspoon is also expected to sign with the Cardinals.

McClure is also reporting that it's a pretty good deal for Peters.

Peters will be missed in Atlanta, and we wish him all the best with the Cardinals.
