What the Atlanta Falcons lack in defensive talent, they more than make for in defensive coaches. The team has announced the addition of former Indiana Hoosier defensive coordinator, assistant head coach, and safeties coach Doug Mallory.
The Falcons have filled out the rest of their coaching staff, announcing Keith Carter (asst. O-line), Doug Mallory (Def. asst/LBs)... (cont)

Mallory previously oversaw a Hoosier defense that was, at times, not terrible. Those times were of course short, and very far between. The former Michigan defensive back has bounced the college ranks, coordinating defenses or coaching secondaries and linebackers for over 25 years. Most notably, he coached for LSU and New Mexico.
Mallory looks to coach up the impressive linebacker group of potentially Sean Weatherspoon and also Sean Weatherspoon.
The new coaching staff looks to be huge, with a number of college coaches and former players.
