Predict the final score of Falcons-Buccaneers redux

If you would be so bold.

Jason Getz-USA TODAY Sports

The fanbase is not feeling overly positive right now, and frankly they have no reason to feel positive. The 2015 season is spiraling out of control in a hurry, and no matter how good you feel about this team with another offseason of acquisitions to come, you can't feel particularly great about their performance in the here and now.

Given that, I don't expect a lot of you to pick the Falcons this weekend against the Buccaneers, and until recently, I didn't think I'd do so either. Whether I'm a little drunk, a little crazy, or a little of both, I think Atlanta's going to pull this one off, even if there's very little that's happened over the last month-plus to indicate I'm right...aside from how painfully close the last Falcons-Buccaneers tilt was, of course.

I'm going to predict a 27-21 Falcons win, despite the obvious incentive not to do so. I think the Buccaneers are vulnerable, I believe the Falcons have a relatively error-free game in them, and I think division games tend to be crazy affairs anyways. I don't know that it's going to lead to a renaissance that salvages the season or anything like that, but it would be a baby step in the right direction.
