Most of ye who entered here have probably already abandoned hope for this Falcons season, and with good reason. Because Atlanta needs Minnesota and Seattle to each lose their last two games and win both of their remaining games, it seems deeply unlikely the Falcons will remain in the playoff hunt past this week, never mind actually getting into the dance.
Yet there are genuine stakes here that have nothing to do with playoff seeding, and everything to do with pride. The Falcons have to sell free agents and potentially a new general manager on the franchise in 2016, and given the epic, sustained collapse we saw this year, that may be a little bit of a hard sell. Upsetting the undefeated Panthers would be an awesome win for Dan Quinn and his staff and would end a historic run for Carolina, but it would also give the Falcons a signature win to point to as they head into 2016, and a reason for current players and staff to hold their heads high. It's not much, but it matters.
We're now an hour away from finding out whether Atlanta has that kind of upset in them. As always, use this as your open thread, and follow along with Caleb's live radio call.
