Devonta Freeman cleared to return to practice

Jason Getz-USA TODAY Sports

The Falcons have certainly missed Devonta Freeman, who suffered a concussion during the loss to the Colts, and Dan Quinn confirmed to the media prior to Wednesday's practice that Freeman would return to the field on Wednesday. Quinn said they would limit contact on Devonta as a precaution, but that he had been cleared to practice fully. Freeman was officially listed as limited on the injury report today.

Matt Bryant was held out of Wednesday's practice with the quad injury that kept him out of last Sunday's game, and Chris Chester also missed Wednesday's practice with a shoulder injury. Leonard Hankerson did not practice, but did work with the athletic performance staff to assess his progress with the hamstring injury that kept him sidelined on Sunday.

Justin Durant was able to practice in a limited capacity on Wednesday with the ankle injury he suffered during Sunday's loss. Brooks Reed was limited Wednesday with a knee injury, and Paul Soliai was limited with a calf injury. Nathan Stupar, who briefly left Sunday's game with a neck injury and was evaluated for a head injury but was cleared to return to action, did practice fully on Wednesday.

We'll keep an eye on the status of these players throughout the week. Your thoughts on the injuries?
