Atlanta Falcons running back Devonta Freeman garners most Pro Bowl "fan votes"

Fact: Devonta Freeman is a world-class speller

Jonathan Dyer-USA TODAY Sports

Atlanta Falcons running back Devonta Freeman was the best running back in the league during the first half of the season. His production has dropped significantly in the second half. But overall, he's had a good year, amassing 1,400 all-purpose yards. And now he's getting some serious, league-wide recognition.

The Florida State product received the most fan votes for the 2016 Pro Bowl of any in running back in the NFL with 484,016 total votes. Freeman finished ahead of Minnesota's talented running back, Adrian Peterson, who received 475,630 votes. Not only did Freeman finish a top of the running back position, his 484,016 votes put him in the top ten of total vote getters for all positions.

Remember, this is a three-part process. The fans vote. Coaches and players also vote. Each group gets one third of the vote. The 88 players eligible for the Pro Bowl draft will be announced next Tuesday, December 22, 2015.
