Paul Worrilow came out to practice as I was leaving the field today, and he didn't have his helmet. The middle linebacker is listed on Wednesday's injury report as unable to practice with a knee injury. Right guard Chris Chester, who has been battling shoulder and knee injuries over the past couple of weeks, was also held out of Wednesday's practice.
Return specialist Devin Hester (toe), backup center James Stone (knee), tight end Jacob Tamme (back) and cornerback Desmond Trufant (calf) were all limited in practice on Wednesday. We'll monitor their status throughout the week and hope for progress, particularly with Trufant and Tamme. The team can't afford to be missing key players heading into the Week 15 matchup with the Jacksonville Jaguars.
Nose tackle Paul Soliai, who was unable to play in the Falcons loss to the Panthers last Sunday, was limited in Wednesday's practice with the calf injury he's been dealing with recently. The team was pleased with the way rookie nose tackle Grady Jarrett played in Soliai's absence. Soliai being limited today as opposed to being held out of practice suggests that he's making progress toward getting back on the field.
