Falcons 0, Panthers 28: Everything is terrible

Remember when this Atlanta Falcons team started the season 5-0? That was fun. You know what isn't fun? Being down 28-0 to the Carolina Panthers at the half.

There are only so many adjectives that appropriately convey how bad this team looks today. The Falcons look so unprepared and I'm not even certain they look particularly interested in trying to turn things around. I don't understand why this is happening. I have no idea what the disconnect is. They look aggressively bad on both sides of the ball.

When I write up these second half open thread pieces, I like to point to something positive the team has done. Matt Bosher's had a pretty good day. That's honestly all I can come up with right now.

I don't know what's wrong with this team, and I don't think Dan Quinn et al do, either. I don't have much hope for the second half, nor for the remaining games. I'm typically a pretty optimistic person, but I can't sugarcoat this. The 2015 Atlanta Falcons are not a good football team.
