Julio Jones injury: Falcons WR says he doesn't expect to miss time

Jason Getz-USA TODAY Sports

Wide receiver Julio Jones was limited in practice again for the Falcons on Thursday with a knee injury, but during open locker room prior to Thursday's practice, Jones told the media that he fully expects to play on Sunday. It's good news for an offense that's struggling even with their most dynamic player fully healthy and on the field, and they'll need Jones to have any shot of winning against Carolina this Sunday.

Safety Kemal Ishmael (shoulder) and safety Ricardo Allen (shin) both practiced fully again on Thursday. Kicker Matt Bryant (quad), return specialist Devin Hester (toe) and tight end Jacob Tamme (shoulder) all remained limited in Thursday's practice, along with Jones.

Right guard Chris Chester, who was held out of Wednesday's practice with a shoulder injury and a knee injury, returned to practice in a limited capacity on Thursday. Tight end Tony Moeaki, who missed Wednesday's practice with a hamstring injury and spent time running with the athletic performance staff instead, was also upgraded to limited practice on Thursday.

Only nose tackle Paul Soliai remained out of practice with a calf injury on Thursday.
