Falcons vs. 49ers 2015: Game time, TV schedule, live online stream, odds, announcers and more

New, comments

The Falcons are stumbling a bit, but the 6-2 team heads to the West Coast with a good chance to get on track against a 2-6 San Francisco 49ers team.

We've been waiting for the Falcons to get off the struggle bus these last few weeks and into the...I dunno, success train? That's a thing, right?

Atlanta's had a well-documented issue with turnovers, one that has derailed three straight games and cost them a ton of scoring opportunities. It's more than fair to say that the Falcons would be 7-1 and might even be 8-0 if they had avoided a fumble, interception, or bad snap one or twice during these last few weeks, but what's done is done. I will settle for cleaning up the issues going forward, starting against the San Francisco 49ers this weekend.

As we know, we're catching the 49ers at a good time. They're not a good team right now, they're turning to Blaine Gabbert at quarterback, and their top running backs will all miss this game, along with top cornerback Kenneth Acker. Atlanta has faced favorable situations throughout this season, from Dallas minus Tony Romo and Dez Bryant to the Titans starting Zach Mettenberger, but this is the best one yet.

Our colleagues at Niners Nation aren't feeling great about this one, but San Francisco was a solid team as recently as a year ago. The Falcons can't afford to take them lightly, and after the defense-related intrigue earlier in the week, I can't say I expect them to. May we see a convincing win.
