Falcons vs. 49ers 2015: What will be the final score of Week 9's West Coast showdown?

Atlanta's favored to win this one, but will they?

Kelley L Cox-USA TODAY Sports

The Atlanta Falcons are 6-2, going through a difficult stretch of lousy football, and have to travel to the West Coast. The 49ers are 2-6, brutally bad, and just swapped out starting quarterback Colin Kaepernick for backup Blaine Gabbert. This is not, in other words, a matchup of two great teams.

The show must go on, however, and the hope is that the Falcons will find some of the play that defined the first month of their season en route to their seventh win of the season. That means fewer turnovers, of course, and it means ensuring the 49ers don't find offensive success because of defensive lapses. I don't want to give the 49ers less credit than they deserve, but it's going to take some mishaps from Atlanta to make me feel bad about this game.

With that in mind, I'm predicting a 34-20 Falcons win. Aggressive, yes, perhaps overly so. Given everything working against San Francisco heading into the game, though, I feel pretty good about this game for Atlanta. Use the Crowd's Line widget below and tell us whether you feel the same.
