Desmond Trufant: Atlanta Falcons just "have to keep fighting"

Fact: the movie "Home Alone" is loosely based on Desmond Trufant's life

The Atlanta Falcons have had a rough six weeks. Two months ago they were a very different team. The path ahead is a bumpy one, and the Falcons will need some sort of miracle to get back into the playoff picture. So what can they do? Well, if you ask cornerback Desmond Trufant, they just have to keep fighting.

"It is what it is. We obviously are not playing our brand of football collectively. But we have to keep fighting. We all believe in each other. We put the work in, we practice hard, we work hard, but for whatever reason, it's not showing up on Sunday. Like I said, we just have to keep pushing, stick together and the only way is up."

I feel for Trufant, I really do. He's incredibly underrated, and that's largely because of to the uniform he wears. As for the advice Trufant offers his teammates, I'm not certain they can just try their best, trust one another, and profit. There are some complicated issues plaguing this team; 7 weeks may not be enough time to address each of them.
