Happy Halloween, Atlanta Falcons fans! Assuming you're reading this instead of double fisting Coors Light, now seems like a great time for a discussion post, doesn't it? So let me pick your brain for a minute. What scares you most about this team? To generate some discussion, let's talk both long-term and short-term.
Right now the Falcons are 6-1. If you're an optimist, then wins are wins and the Falcons may be headed for the promised land come February. If you're a pessimist, then this is literally the worst 6-1 team in the history of the NFL. In truth, the real state of this franchise is somewhere in the middle. In the short-term I'm concerned the passing game won't come around and Devonta Freeman will eventually regress to the mean. That nasty combination would surely result in losses.
As for long-term fears, I'm scared Kyle Shanahan will take a head coaching job this offseason. He flicked his magical coordinator wand and fixed our running game during the offseason. The passing game suddenly leaves something to be desired, but they're working on it. I think.
