The Falcons have many players who have carved out relatively minor roles and are primed to take on larger ones as the season rolls on. It would be tough to argue against Adrian Clayborn being one of the players most deserving of more snaps, particularly after the damage he did in limited snaps against the Saints.
Clayborn has two of the Falcons' seven sacks, which leaves him tied for the team lead with Vic Beasley, and he's done his damage in fewer snaps than Beasley. We all knew that if Clayborn was healthy, he'd likely be one of the team's better pass rushers, and thus far he has delivered.
Frankly, I think Clayborn deserves more than a part-time role. He makes a fine defensive tackle in nickel sets, he can wreak havoc off the edge, and in a thus far middling pass rush, Clayborn offers some legitimate juice. Given that the Falcons have one of the better run defenses in the league already, surely getting Clayborn even more snaps isn't going to doom their ability to
He should get opportunities as a nickel DT against Tennessee, given that the team has a mobile quarterback and a middling ground game, and I hope his opportunities will grow from there.
