The Seattle Seahawks return to the Super Bowl for the second straight year, matching up against the New England Patriots in what should be a terrific game.
Super Bowl XLIX Schedule
(Feb 1, 6:30 p.m. ET, NBC)
I thought both the Packers and Colts might pull off upsets today, but no dice, especially in the case of the Colts. That means two of the best teams in the NFL are standing at the end.
I'd have to view the Seahawks as the favorite, as tricky and well-coached as the Patriots are. If Russell Wilson can avoid turnovers, they're simply too balanced and too excellent on defense to be undone by New England. But as you've seen in these playoffs, predictions aren't really all that useful.
While we don't have much of a stake in the outcome, we will all be interested to see how probable head coach Dan Quinn fares in his last, most challenging assignment running the Seattle defense.
