Devin Hester up for Performance Play of the Year

Your votes can help Devin Hester's record-setting punt return for a touchdown in week three against the Buccaneers be established as the NFL's Bridgestone Performance Play of the Year.

Dale Zanine-USA TODAY Sports

There's no doubt that Devin Hester's NFL legacy will be his dynamic abilities as a return man. Hester holds the record for the most career touchdowns on kick and punt returns with 20. Prior to week three of the 2014 NFL season, Hester was tied with former Falcon and Hall of Famer Deion Sanders with 19 kick and punt return touchdowns, and a 62-yard return touchdown against the Buccaneers on Thursday Night Football put Hester in sole possession of the record.

This play is one of 32 plays that the NFL has selected as the Bridgestone Performance Plays of the Year, and your votes can help put Hester at the top of the list.

Hester's in good company, facing off against a ridiculous one-handed interception by Dolphins cornerback Brent Grimes, Marshawn Lynch destroying the Arizona Cardinals' defense with a 79-yard touchdown run, and the one-handed Odell Beckham, Jr. touchdown reception heard 'round the world.

You must vote for five plays, and you can vote as many times as you'd like. The play that is selected as the Bridgestone Performance Play of the Year will be revealed the night before Super Bowl XLIX during the NFL Honors ceremony. The awards ceremony will be broadcast nationally on NBC on January 31, 2015 at 9:00 p.m. Eastern.
