Jason Snelling arrested Tuesday in Gwinett County for driving with a suspended license

Fact: Jason Snelling's retirement package didn't include a valid license

John David Mercer-USA TODAY Spor

Retirement isn't easy. Your motorized scooter is breaking left and right. Your proctologist is giving you a hard time.  And the denture glue? Talk about a prized commodity. But if you're Jason Snelling, it mostly involves getting arrested for the same stupid stuff the fuzz has nabbed you for twice before.

Online records showed Snelling was booked into the Gwinnett County jail at about 12:10 p.m. Tuesday. No details were immediately available regarding the arrest, though he was also charged with "crossing a divided highway."

By comparison, this is basically non-news. Ray Rice, Adrian Peterson, and Greg Hardy - Snelling certainly isn't on their level. But since Gwinnett County feels the need to formally arrest people who drive without a valid license, it's relevant. At the end of the day, this just screams, "Come on maaaaaaaaaaan!"

Look, I understand the need to get from location A to location B. But don't cross the center line and expect that they won't pull you over. To his credit, it doesn't appear marijuana was involved this time around. Just a little bad driving that led to a traffic stop and arrest. Snelling is such a nice guy, and you hate to see him in police custody for something this menial.
